Meet Our Team

Dr. Rozann Stay

Partner

Originally from Northern Minnesota, Dr. Stay has been infatuated with horses since day one. Her first horse, Ash, was one of the perfect ones and she had the opportunity to try many different riding disciplines through her early partnerships with her horses.

Dr. Stay attended Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and launched Iowa Equine in 2012. In practice, Dr. Stay’s greatest passions are understanding the goals of owners and finding ways to help horses perform their best so those goals can be reached. Dr. Stay believes each horse and rider combination is unique and takes a flexible and open-minded approach to solving performance issues and health challenges.

When she isn’t wearing her stethoscope, Dr. Stay spends time on the farm with her husband, daughter, and horses.

Dr. Stephanie White

Partner

Dr. White is an Iowa native and finds great emotional reward in working with animals and their people. She was drawn to the veterinary profession through her love of science and intellectual challenges and enjoys working up tough cases.

Dr. White is a graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and is certified in veterinary acupuncture. Through her training and practice experience, Dr. White has come to enjoy taking the time to establish a connection with her patients and clients, and then taking the best care of them. Dr. White is a believer in the golden rule and brings the same care and attention to her clients and patients that she would expect if she were in their shoes (horse or human!).

When she is not in the vet truck, Dr. White enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, and son, Marshall, caring for their large variety of farmyard fauna.

Dr. Taylor Isberner

Associate

Dr. Isberner is originally from Minnesota, and traveled to Colorado where she graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She returned home to the Midwest for an internship at Anoka Equine in Minnesota. She is very excited to join the Iowa Equine team and remain in the Midwest. Her main areas of interest are emergency medicine, reproductive health, and internal medicine. When not practicing veterinary medicine, you can find her playing rugby, riding her horse, Jack, or running her dog in agility trials.

Dr. Monica Snyder

Associate

Dr. Snyder was born and raised in Minnesota, but spent much of her adolescent years following Thoroughbred race meets across the country and working at breeding farms. She returned to Minnesota for veterinary school, graduating in 2013. After practicing on the East Coast for several years, and then returning to Minnesota for 5 years at Anoka Equine, she found her next adventure by moving south to Iowa Equine. Special interests include reproduction, internal medicine, and overall quality of life care for patients. When there is free time to be had, you can find her reading, hiking, or spending time with her horse, Ozzie, and her dog, Scoobie.

Taylor Kopcho

Equine Support Specialist

Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Taylor attended college at Ellsworth Community College where she earned her degree in Equine Management. She continues to pursue her passion for horses as a veterinary assistant at Iowa Equine. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, their dogs, and family and friends; riding their reining horses; and hunting or being outdoors.

Madison Phipps

Equine Support Specialist

Originally from Des Moines, Madison attended Ellsworth Community College where she received her associate’s in Equine Science and Equine Management. She continues to learn from our dedicated veterinarians and enjoys helping owners with their horses during appointments. When she isn’t at the clinic, you can find her spending time with her fiancé and playing with their dog, Riley, or embroidering.

Sarah Heatherington

Equine Support Specialist

A native to Minnesota, Sarah traveled down to Iowa to attend Iowa State University for her bachelor’s in Animal Science. Sarah enjoys working with all different types and disciplines of horses and has developed a strong affinity for performing laser therapy. When she is not working hard at Iowa Equine, you can find her competing in rodeo events—specifically barrel racing with her horse, Mac—or hanging out with her adorable dog, Lacey.

Takota Cordell

Equine Support Specialist

Takota recently graduated from Lenox High School and is excited at the opportunity to grow her abilities and knowledge here at Iowa Equine. In her free time, she enjoys riding horses with friends, practicing her roping skills, and being outside!
